Promote positive self-esteem
Constantly bombarded with images, information and advertising, Children today have many challenges, and self-esteem is one of the biggest ones. At the Village Project, we focus on ensuring that each child not only learns their own strengths, but also has opportunities to shine in their own talents and gifts.
Offer expanded education
School is great for learning the tools to get through life, but education doesn't end when the school bell rings for the day. That's why we focus on expanded education that not only addresses the practical use of what they learn in school, but also tools and information that will help them in life far beyond the textbook.
Raise innovative thinkers
We don't want our kids to simply repeat what we teach them, but rather how to think for themselves. Partnering with financial institutions offers life skills in financial literacy as well as expanded mathematical sees. We see it as critical that each child learn how to process information and, through creativity and innovation, grow to be our next generation of leaders, inventors and creators.
Teach about diversity
Each child has a unique background, with unique skills, talents, personality and home life, and it's important that those differences be celebrated. At the Village Project, we see the value of promoting diversity and different perspectives and encourage each child to embrace differences as a learning experience.
