Supplemental & Wellness

Because there’s more to life than just reading and writing.

At The Village Project, our focus is on the holistic health, education and wellbeing of your child, and that stretches far beyond technology and science education. It’s for this reason that we offer many additional programs within our walls, focused on everything from health and wellness to entrepreneurship, mentorship and leadership, to ensure that the needs of each child are met in ways that will impact their lives forever.

Young Entrepreneurs & Philanthropists Club

We want our next generation of businesses to start today, and so we provide this program as a way for young adults to experience hands-on entrepreneurial training and development. Under the mission to teach children ages 10 to 15 entrepreneurship, leadership, financial awareness, and philanthropy through this non-profit 501c3 program, they will learn how to work with money, finance, budgeting, and business plans, boosting their interest in business and entrepreneurship.

Because of the depth of content, this program is open to students in grades 6 through 12 only.

Yoga

The same benefits that an adult gains from yoga-focus, exercise, relaxation and a boost in self esteem-can benefit a child. We offer yoga as part of many of our daily activities, as well as some classes that are open to the community, as well.

Adopt-A-Cop

Started in 2016, our Adopt-a-Cop program is designed to connect our kids with local law enforcement, building strong relationships and understanding that will resonate for years to come.

Mommy & Me

Never underestimate the power of playing together-Our Mommy & Me program is held during daytime and evening hours, offering special time for you and your child to participate in crafts, yoga or other programs together.

Senior & Youth Unite Program

Launching in 2017, the Unite program connects children with senior citizens in the local area, effectively bridging the gap between generations, and creating relationships and understanding between the two age groups.

Project 21

Being a teen can be hard, but with our Project 21, we connect 21 influential men in the community with one young man, mentoring him for 21 days in areas like career development, leadership, behavior and goal setting. This project is invaluable in creating our next generation of leaders.

We are always in need of mentors for this program. To sign up to be a mentor, please send us an email.

Chess Club

Our chess club isn't simply about learning a game-the game of chess teaches long-term skills like strategy, thinking ahead, planning, and good sportsmanship. Many of our students learn the game at Minds in Motion and continue to play it into their teenage years.
